And the Lord
Shall guide you continually
and
satisfy you in drought and in dry places.
And
make strong your bones. And you shall be like
a
watered garden. And like a Spring of water whose waters
fail not
Isa. 58:11

On Creativity
by Richard A. Nelson
Within…there’s
fire; it seeks a way
To move and strike and burn today The depths within stir up unknowns
with feelings blent and sparks once sown
and hidden things that don’t exist
(yet seek “I.D.” if you’ll persist
to turn, to yearn, to give them vent
until they gel, until they’re spent
and birth in thought a form so fair…
creative buds…with fragrance rare) And then, surprised, in focused scope
They silhouette beyond one’s hope And thus, with mind and spirit freed
Creation blooms with crystal ease

My Lovely Tennessee
by Richard A. Nelson
I forget
how lovely
something can really
be
until I'm kissed anew
by
springtime in my
lovely Tennessee
